Belly after pregnancy - what does a young mother face?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period is a time when a woman experiences many changes - not only in her life, but also in the appearance of her body, especially the abdomen. Pregnancy stretches the abdominal muscles, and at the same time stretches the subcutaneous tissue and dermis, and this applies primarily to the abdominal area, but also to the thighs, buttocks, arms and other parts of the body.
After childbirth, when the uterus shrinks in size, the abdomen can still be distinguished by features that negatively affect its appearance and a woman's comfort. The skin on the abdomen may be stretched and flabby, and there may also be stretching of the straight abdominal muscles and a characteristic bulge. Stretch marks are also common, as well as excess fatty tissue.
