The 10 demands were made by trade unions and societies of paramedics during a meeting with representatives of the Health Ministry. The expectations include salary supplements, civil law contracts and amendments to the law on State Emergency Medical Services. The rescuers want to meet with the ministry's leadership again in three weeks.
The meeting, on behalf of the Health Ministry, was attended by Deputy Ministers Urszula Demkow and Wojciech Konieczny, as well as directors of four departments. However, the head of the ministry was missing. They held talks with representatives of 11 trade unions and societies that organize and represent the interests of paramedics. The organizations submitted 10 demands:
- Introducing a statutory obligation to pay a 30% allowance for work in the State Emergency Medical Service system (i.e., medical dispatch and ED/IP) and an allowance for work at night, Sunday and holidays (65/45% with compensation as of July 01, 2023,
