In 2023, more than 7,000 children benefited from spa treatment, and the Fund paid PLN 35.4 million for the services provided, the National Health Fund reports. Spa treatment is a continuation of treatment that began in a hospital or outpatient clinic.
- This type of treatment can be used by insured persons after receiving a referral. Referral of a child for spa treatment is always decided by a doctor. It is available for children as young as three years old. A child's stay at a health resort is completely free of charge.
