Prof. Janina Stępińska, director of the National Institute of Cardiology, has been appointed by the Minister of Health as Chairwoman of the National Council for Cardiology. She succeeded Prof. Tomasz Hryniewiecki, who had held the position since 2021.
By an order dated March 26, 2024, amending the order on the establishment of the National Council for Cardiology, changes were made to the composition of the National Council for Cardiology.
The new composition of the Council:
- Chairman of the Council - Prof. Janina Stępińska, MD, Director of the Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski National Institute of Cardiology - National Research Institute;
- Prof. Grazyna Brzezinska-Rajszys, MD, head of the Cardiovascular Interventions Laboratory, Institute "Pomnik - Children's Health Center,
- Agnieszka Kapłon-Cieślicka, MD, PhD, 1st Department of Cardiology, Warsaw Medical University,
- Jaroslaw Cyrynger, President of the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Heart Transplant Association,
- Prof. Mariusz Gąsior, MD, Head of the III Department of Clinical Cardiology at the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases, Silesian Medical University,
