More than PLN 7 billion in profit was recorded by the National Health Fund in 2022, according to the annual report on the implementation of the financial plan, presented at the August meeting of the Parliamentary Health Committee. Most of this result was influenced by the failure to carry out the services planned for the year in question.
According to Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska, the NFZ's revenues amounted to more than PLN 140.7 billion, 1.52 percent more than planned. Costs closed at more than PLN 133.5 billion. The largest amount was spent on hospital treatment: PLN 65.7 billion.
