Seventy-five medical students of the newly established Bielsko-Biała branch of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice took the solemn oath. The new SUM branch will be headquartered at 45 1 Armored Division St. Classes in anatomy will be conducted in the Prosectorium located on the premises of the Beskidzki Oncology Center - City Hospital.
- Today you have crossed the thresholds of our university. This is an extremely important moment in your lives. It is also a landmark moment in the history of the Silesian Medical University, which can be compared to the symbolic laying of the keel for your ship. For six years you will now be building it, in order to later set sail on the waters of your professional careers," said Prof. Jerzy Stojko, MD, Vice-Chancellor for Studies and Students of SUM, to the students.
