after two-year break, the time has come for the next experience with MSK.
It is with great pleasure that I would like to invite you to attend the 8th International Sports & Arthritis MSK Conference, which will be held on 16–18 November 2023 in Warsaw.
The two-day conference will be preceded by one-day MRI workshop, where – at workstations and under the supervision of mentors – you will learn how to interpret MR images of specific pathologies in sports-related extremity injuries.
The Conference program consists of a number of talks on various musculoskeletal topics, with a focus on imaging sports-related injuries of the upper and lower extremities, including sports injuries of the shoulder, elbow and wrist, hip and groin injuries, meniscus, knee cruciate ligaments and collateral ligaments injuries, ankle, Achilles and calf traumatic lesions, and forefoot pain in sportsmen.
The Conference will address both the basic concepts as well as more recent developments in the field. For this reason, the Conference will be a great opportunity to all: beginners and experienced radiologists, orthopedic surgeons and all other medical specialists with an interest in MSK performance. It offers a chance to attend educational lectures focused on MSK radiographs, ultrasound, MRI and CT anatomy and pathology and to participate in live ultrasound demonstrations.
The international faculty thus far includes renowned European ESSR experts and top Polish experts in MSK radiology: P. Diana Afonso (Portugal), Beata Ciszkowska-Łysoń (Poland), Lennart Jans (Belgium), Milko de Jonge (the Netherlands), Jaime Isern-Kebschull (Spain), Piotr Palczewski (Poland), Grzegorz Pracoń (Poland), Iwona Sudoł-Szopińska (Poland), James Teh (United Kingdom), Janusz Wieczorek (Poland).
The 2023 Conference is co-organised by the radiological societies and sections: Sports Section of the Polish Radiological Society, Sports and Arthritis Subcommittees of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology, Department of Radiology, National Institute of Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation in Warsaw.
